Return to The Artists of Myths...

Through her art, Nuria Román explores a diversity of issues such as the relationship of women with the world; the search for new solutions to the problems that plague the world; the north-south relationship; the earth as a place of welcoming and as a broken space; the need to create bridges and to “sew the earth.”

Her work has been exhibited in Paris, New York, and various locations throughout Spain. She has also curated various group shows, among them the remarkable “On son les gifts? La illusió” at the Museo de Menorca, 2015, an analysis of how male artists have represented women throughout history.

“Lithica” is part of the project “Latitude 40º - Sew the Earth”. L40º is an artistic project conceived by Román offering to restore the fractures that mankind has generated over time by uniting with artistic installations different points around the world through which the 40º N parallel circles around. She has promoted, presented, and deployed this project in various places internationally with works and collaborations in Spain, Italy and the US. View the project at: COSIR LA TERRA Latitud 40.

Since 2016 she manages the LOCAL- Nuria Román art gallery in Maó, which she describes aa a place for the meeting and visibility of local artists from Menorca.

Her website is www.nuriaroman.com

In Myths of our Humanity her artistic work is showcased in the vignette IT COMES AROUND.
